Knowing how to print digital photos is a difficulty to many people. However, if you follow a few uncomplicated steps, you can produce excellent photo prints.
1. You have to start out with a decent picture. Make sure your camera settings were precise when you took the picture. 2. Make sure you use capability printing paper. You would be surprised what a inequity this makes. It can be glossy, semi-glossy, or matte. The type doesn't matter, as long as it is the right paper for your printer. Typically, the best choice is to use your printer manufacturer's paper. Once you find a paper you like, stick with it.
3. Use the precise printer settings for your printer. You can either set this up so that the same setting will occur each time you print. If you do a lot of text printing, you may want to select the settings for printing photos each time you print.
Some printers offer the choice to set up Profiles. A profile is a group of customized settings. I know the Canon Pixma series does this. This is helpful if your thorough setting is for text, since you can just click on a profile when you want to print a picture.
Here are some recommended settings for printing digital photos. The choices for your single printer may be a miniature distinct or have distinct names:
a. Print capability - select High or Custom. Institution allows you to make additional settings, such as making the photo more vivid.
b. Media Type (Paper Type) - select the paper you are using. You don't want to have it set on Plain Paper when you are using Glossy.
c. Color Intensity - Auto. You can also use Institution or by hand if you want to adjust this. D. Page Layout - Make sure you have premium the right orientation...Landscape or Portrait.
It's not uncommon to have to tweak your settings once you see the print. You might want the colors more vivid or possibly you may even want to go back and crop the photograph in editing software. However, for the most part, by paying concentration to these steps, you will get very good results.
